So today I was at work, and there was this girl I work with named shall we say Caitlin who is a very smart, and independent girl, but tends to live life on the wild side. Now she came up to me nicely to help her buss her tables because normally before leaving work I like to help out the ladies with some of their outs or chores that they have to do, and plus I'm not that busy anyway. Well somehow we ended up on the conversation of Jesus, and Caitlin told me that she confidently knew that she was going to hell. Well I had to be careful when treading on this topic because sometimes it can be inappropriate to do so at work, but I hate to miss an opportunity to share Jesus with someone especially when their not going to go to church or may really never get the opportunity to hear about him. I proceeded to ask her if she believed in Jesus, and she said that she did, but didn't think that Jesus would forgive her of her sins. I told her that if she were truly sorry Jesus would forgive her but she shrugged it off and remarked that she would probably repent in a few years or whatever.
Ladies and Gentlemen this experience absolutely shocked me, but also reminded me of the sad truth that we live in today. The enemy Satan loves to spread the false message that Jesus doesn't love you or that your not good enough for him. People, Jesus didn't just die for the world he died for YOU! He is your personal savior as well as the savior of the world. Did you know that Jesus loves you so much that if you were the only person to have ever sinned and the rest of the world was perfect, Jesus would of died just to save you? We are precious to God he loves all of his children! Not to mention that the sacrifice of Jesus is the atonement of sin in fact when you repent or turn away from sin, and sincerely with your heart tell Jesus that your sorry for doing something wrong or doing evil, or bad things he will Forgive You! Don't ever be afraid to tell Jesus what you have done because he knows everything, and he isn't here to condemn you on your deeds or tell you what a terrible person you are! No, he is here to tell you that he loves you and wants you free, but you have to make the choice to want to be free and to let him into your life! Another thing that caught me off-guard was when Caitlin said that she'll repent in a few years. Ladies and Gentlemen you may or may not have a few years! No one knows when they will die only God knows that. There is no point in going through life with a false sense of security thinking that they are invincible or that they are hot stuff. Remember that although we deserve hell the Blood of Jesus says no! Because, God loved us enough to take the punishment that all of mankind deserves because at the end of the day we all put on our pants the same way as everyone else, and I'm no different then you or the next guy. But the love of God says no I want you to be my child, and I want you to be free! As a closure I'll end with the fact that Jesus didn't die for us to freely sin, but to be free from sin. Don't ever be afraid to tell Jesus your sorry because he is only one prayer away!
